In my decade of searching the web for corpse art, things have gotten pretty stale on that front. I thought I’d reached the point of dead things being used in creative ways just not being exciting anymore. I’ve looked at so many dead things, I’m kind of bored of them now. But then I stumbled on RITUAL ODDITIES, who makes glorious art with ethically-sourced animal cadavers using a process called diaphonization, where an animal cadaver is bathed in trypsin to render their flesh transparent and then the skeleton is dyed. These preserved creatures are brilliant to behold, and make me excited about dead things all over again! With oddities like these, there’s no need to go with the usual black walls scarlet curtains decor—your color options are limitless.
