Experience the World through the eyes of CHILD OF NIGHT “Son”

Over the past two decades of my life, I’ve often felt like I was witnessing humanity’s slow descent into madness. But over the past few years, it feels like it’s been speeding up. Now it seems like we’re barreling full-speed into a state of dementia, and maybe we’re already there. Watching the new Child of Night video for their single “Son” feels like the paradox that’s my life right now. The steady heartbeat of percussion and comforting post-punk melodies is the quiet space I’ve created to take shelter in, the one where I can go to remind myself I’m sane. The ominous imagery of the video is the chaos of opinion that we’re all so easily sucked into. But I have to remember that I can sit back into the music, and let their synths play on my brainwaves and take comfort in whatever moments of peace I can grasp at. “Son” is an exciting peek into Child of Night’s new record, The Walls at Dawn, that comes out on September 26th — pre-order it from Play Alone Records (LP), Wave Records (CD), and Beso De Muerte Records (cassette). Right now, watch our exclusive premiere of the video for “Son” below…plus check out their Fall tour dates with Kiss of the Whip and Hallows.
