When I think of -(16)-, my ears start ringing. I don’t even need to hear their mammoth riffs for my ear hairs to start trembling and moaning in fear! And they should tremble, because -(16)- makes doom that’s worthy of the earth-rending quakes that travel through the faults their hometown sits on. Today we’re excited to share the official video for the single “Tear It Down” off their Doom Sessions Vol. 3 split with Grime coming out February 26th via HEAVY PSYCH SOUNDS Records – pre-order it here. It’s just as heavy as you want it to be, and maybe a bit more, giving you only moments to breathe as they break you down, only to rebuild you in the image of a god so sick and horrifying you’ll never want to draw breath again! The video is by the always excellent Chariot of Black Moth, so the visuals are perfect. This is a song for end times, so it may be the last thing you see before it’s all torn down.
“Tear it Down” is a song that has been in our live set for a few years and has evolved through a few different iterations to finally land here on our split release with fellow sludge brethren Grime. Thanks to Chariot of Black Moth for providing the stunning editing and for contributing visually to the vibe of the song.
