When the onslaught of shitrain that this world pours onto our existence gets to me, I need to open my energetic shitumbrella, and one of my favorite things to do is laugh at the total ridiculosity of it all. Artists like SHRINKWRAP KILLERS help me do that because they manage to funnel my fury and my rowdy and my comedy into an uplifting punk blend that I can down in 2-minute shots! Their LP Feral Rats Have Become Our Only Pets is yet another brilliant release from punk connoisseurs Iron Lung Records and it’s out on December 4th – pre-order it here and here. Now that I’m sober I really appreciate the track “Shotgunning O’Douls & Kicking Dicks,” and if 2020 isn’t the perfect year for a song called “I think the Sirens Are Coming For Me,” I don’t know what is (maybe 2021?). I think my favorite song is “Caught Pissing on the Vatican” because I would really, really love to cop a squat in one of their fountains, or maybe I’ll get extra blasphemous and pee standing up like a 21st century lady should. Whatever the case, Shrinkwrap Killers is helping me imagine a better future, and today I’m happy to share that future with you, also, with our full stream of their new record below:
