Dive into the Endless Psychedelic Doom of SONS OF OTIS ‘Isolation’ Full Album Premiere

As soon as I hit play on the new album from psychedelic doom band SONS OF OTIS I feel like I’m looking over the edge of a pit so deep all I can see is an endless blackness. I can hear the cavernous sounds of the planet as it inhales and exhales and I feel it’s fiery breath on my face. Now I’m stepping over the edge, and falling forever on the wings of heavy riffs as the voices of every living thing that laid itself down to become a part of our foundation echoes in my mind. I’m not sure if I’ll ever reach the incinerator at the bottom but I’ll sure enjoy the journey there! This trip is happening courtesy of their new record Isolation that comes out October 16th via Totem Cat Records – pre-order it here. This album feels like it’s been made to show us that there’s no such thing as isolation; our inner universe is so vast that it’s almost terrifying to explore. And I don’t know about you, but if 2020’s shut down taught me anything it’s that I’ve been living through an onslaught of distraction and consumption that’s been stripping me of my own power. Distraction is the tool of the downpressors, because when we really take the time to walk our inner pathways we can see the truth behind the lies we’ve been told since birth – lies told in the name of power, of money, of confusion, of manipulation. Isolation is the kind of album that I can close my eyes and open myself to. So that’s what I suggest you do right now – hit play on our exclusive album premiere and take the inward road…
