Jealousy drives people to commit some heinous acts. It seems like the need for companionship can make some people crazy, committing acts of violence and murder against those they think threaten their relationship security. But if the offending person is dead, are they really a threat? It seems that Shaynna Smith (aka Shaynna Sims) thought so when she attacked the corpse of her boyfriend’s ex at the funeral home where she was laid out in her casket for viewing. Smith allegedly came to see the woman at the Tulsa, OK, funeral home where her corpse was waiting to be interred, and cut some of her hair, smeared her makeup and made an incision from the hairline to the tip of the nose. When Smith left and the vandalized body was found, the funeral director called the police, who found Smith at the dead woman’s apartment with the incriminating evidence in hand, including some of the corpse’s hair. Smith is being charged with unlawful dissection of a human corpse but it currently out on bail. Maybe she’s a proponent of the zombie apocalypse and thought the woman was coming back from the dead to steal her man.
