Something is seething under the surface in Russia – BELOW THE SUN are getting ready to release their record Alien World via Temple of Torturous Records on May 26th. In preparation for the unleashing of this sonic Pandora’s Box, Below the Sun have prepared an eerie and lo-fi visual for their track “Mirrors” off the album. This track demonstrates the breadth of their influences, presenting us with a delicately heavy, ethereal sound that will no doubt have you scrambling to pre-order Alien World right here. Check out what the band has to say about their inspiration for “Mirrors” below!

We’re going to space ready for anything: loneliness, fighting, suffering and death. We’re not speaking it out loud, but deep inside we feel ourselves magnificently. In reality, though, our readiness means nothing. We don’t want to conquer space, we just want Earth to be it’s size. We are noble, humane, kind and don’t want to war down alien races. We want to pass them our values and take their heritage in return. We think ourselves the shining knights of the sacred contact. And this is the second lie. We’re looking for no one except other humans. We don’t want any other worlds. We need a mirror. We don’t know what to do with alien worlds.
