In my house, we have a policy that there’s music for every moment, and there’s music for every moment in between each moment. Depending on the energy we’re in, and the energy we want to be in, we’ve got a record for that. Listening to Posmic’s new Sun Hymns EP has me thinking this album is a weekend afternoon kinda record. It’s got a sweet garage pop art rock sound that would keep me happy to be alive and dreaming about the sun on a grey PNW spring day. There’s a retro psych feel to their songs that’s soothing, but before it gets too neat they throw a dissonant, angular sonic curveball to keep me on my toes.
