I know I’m only one of billions of people going through it right now. Whatever’s been sprinkled into the cosmic soup of human existence has thrown off the balance that kept most of the world asleep and numb to pain. Now we have people everywhere waking up to reality in various states of ego life and death, whether it’s righteous anger about continued racist oppression or selfish crying over wearing a damn mask. Sometimes it helps to retreat into your own bubble of joy and pain and remember that if you value yourself you’ll see the value in others. All of this is swirling in my mind while I listen to the sorrowful electropop tune we’re premiering from Teddy Panopoulos (Dead Waves) today, called “Lost in Love.” It’s the title track off his first solo effort Lost in Love EP on September 25th via Entheon Records – pre-order it here. “Lost in Love” may be melancholy but it exists on a foundation of hope, that if we’re able to truly understand that all we have in this life is our own self-worth, we’re able to brave the fearful world and channel that love into creativity. Right now, listen to “Lost in Love” and think about what makes your life worth living – amplify that.
I was going through a really sad time with personal heartbreaks and life changes, and needed something to channel these feelings. And from all the downtime of being inside from the pandemic I finally got to bring this project to fruition. When there was no one or nothing else to blame, I had to finally question myself. So basically it’s a mission to really look at myself and heal from the pain and try to forgive myself and embrace love.
