Dark vocals meet post punk beats and melodic riffs, all seen through a fuzzy, almost shoegaze-like lens. That’s what I hear on the new record, Near the Ground, from Oakland’s TEAL. It’s almost as if I am listening to them through a murky pool, hidden in an eerie oasis at the bottom of a cavern. Teal is releasing Near the Ground via Broke Hatre on Friday, May 13th, but you can catch a glimpse of their new sounds with our track premiere of “It Was All In My Head” below…
