Earlier this I got to go to a really special show with one my best friends, who also happens to be my 10-year-old daughter. We went to go see SPECIAL INTEREST and they totally blew both of our minds! To be able to see my daughter’s face light up as Alli Logout killed it on vocals was insanely epic! I can’t front, their performance had us both dancing! SPECIAL INTEREST’s last album is a classic and is full of jams! On a personal level, I could listen to Cherry Blue Intention & Midnight Legend all night on repeat. As a band, they have been able to perfectly harness the urgent pulsating beats of House with the fury of Punk to manifest a liberated sound that is truly their own. SPECIAL INTEREST are not just special, they are a sonic force that deserves all of their shine! Being able to dance to the anthem “Young, Gifted, Black, in Leather” with my daughter was something I will never forget. SPECIAL INTEREST will be rocking and shocking the nation at this year’s Levitation Fest on Nov. 1st.
