Time to venture into the dispirited audio wasteland of PASCAGOULA, Brighton’s sludge noise crushers, featuring members of Charlottefield, Trencher, and Mullholand. Today we’re stoked to be sharing the video for “Insecurity Breach,” the lead single off their new record For Self Defence. For Self Defence comes out via Human Worth on July 5th — pre-order it here (starts 5/24). 10% of all proceeds from their limited edition ‘Deluxe Graphite Eco Mix’ vinyl sales will be donated to War Child UK’s Gaza appeal. “Insecurity Breach” is a grating, dissonant, and damaging sonic experience where every riff feels like it’s at your throat! Check out their new video below:
Dave wrote a couple of riffs in the ugly/catchy mode. Adam applied himself to the on/off dynamics and played the bass like you’re not supposed to. Misha wrote a bridge riff with a specific point of impact. Ross thought it sounded anthemic, so wrote the opposite: a song about disunity, defeat, discouragement. A failed transmission.
