I love Feedback, I love Distortion, I love Reverb Drenched Riffs, I love music with Space, and I’m in love with the new MEATBODIES album Flora Ocean Tiger Bloom that comes out on March 8th via In The Red Records. Maybe it’s the 60s baby in me or maybe it’s the Venice Sunsets in me I love some sick otherworldly Mushroom-Infused Psych-Space Rock. Damn, did this band get it right and then some! From the very first moment I heard “The Assignment,” I was hooked and could not wait for the rest of the album. I would love to drive through the desert with the top down blasting their tune “Billow.” I won’t front MEATBODIES look to the past for inspiration but they through the lens of passion while pushing the genre forward! I can’t lie to myself that the world is shit right about now but as I blast Flora Ocean Tiger Bloom my inner peace is staring at a kaleidoscope of Sonic Bliss. The song “Criminal Minds” makes me happy that I’m a Cali baby and was a fan of skateboards and freedom. Yo MEATBODIES, if y’all ever read this just know that CVLT Nation are HUGE fans and we can’t wait to see y’all in Vancouver. Oh yeah, y’all’s longsleeves are Fucking FIRE!
