I love BELGRADO. They are a lighthouse in the sea of the post punk revival, and throughout the years we have constantly returned to admire their prolific output. Their new record Intra Apogeum came out via La Vida Es Un Mus Discos earlier this year — get it here. And yeah, I’m late to the game covering this record here, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been dancing in my living room to their perfect blend of new wave and post punk, electronica and krautrock, italodisco and death rock. There’s literally no way I can listen to this record and not move. Intra Apogeum is another Belgrado record that’s going to go down in history as emblematic of 21st century post punk. Here’s hoping Belgrado makes their way back over to North America next year, because it’s been way too long since I had the pleasure of seeing them live! Patrycja is our kids’ crazy Polish auntie forever, and I’d love to finally introduce them. If you haven’t had the pleasure of hearing this fantastic album yet — or even if you have — listen to Belgrado’s Intra Apogeum here:
