Contrary to what yuppie food bloggers would have you believe, the best kept secret in Los Angeles is not a novelty food truck or upscale cocktail lounge in Silver Lake. Nor is it a plethora of fake interesting Instagram personalities who secretly double as average people with desk and/or service jobs. No my friends, it is the death metal carnage brought forth by Phalanx. Their newest release, Golden Horde is pretty much the closest thing to getting into an actual sword fight anyone in the metal community will ever get. Epic tales of battle are thoroughly complimented with epic battle riffs as track after track pummels you into the front lines of primitive warfare. You can run all you want but Phalanx’s Golden Horde is here to demolish and conquer all who dissent or impede on their quest for blood.
