I fucking love when I hear bands that create from an honest space. One such band is Sacramento’s Screature, who make dark psych with wicked amount of post punk in the mix. From the very first time I heard them years ago, I was a fan. Now after hearing their soon to be released record Old Hand New Wave on Jan 18th via Ethel Scull Records, my admiration for them has only grown. They conjure the kind of songs that give the listener something new to hold on to. More than just making tunes that fit into a nice little box, Screature’s music has the power to set your mind free.
