Ride the Punk Wave With the MARCEL WAVE “Barrow Boys”

I swear, Feel it Records’s bands never don’t make me smile. Today I’m watching the new video for Marcel Wave‘s new single “Barrow Boys” and it’s the cheekiest and catchiest troll of gentrification I’ve seen in a while. At least, I think that’s what it’s about, I had to Google what a Barrow Boy was. Their classic poppy garage punk sound got stuck in my head as soon as I heard it, and lyrics like “you messed around on the pontoon dock, you naughty boy” make me laugh! Laugh is all you can do when you live somewhere that’s subject to endless development, stacks of $4,000/month rentals piling up while salaries are going down. “Barrow Boys” is off their debut full length Something Looming that comes out on June 14th via Feel It Records and Upset the Rhythm — pre-order it here. We’re stoked to be sharing “Barrow Boys” with you right here and now:

Marcel Wave invites the listener to dance to society’s decline, and then to later weep into its lukewarm pint.
