From the depraved mind womb of Ethan McCarthy (Primitive Man, Vermin Womb) comes the seductively harrowing noise of MANY BLESSINGS! This is slow-moving sonic warfare on a cellular level, bringing thoughts both beautiful and disgusting to the surface of your consciousness. Today we’re excited to be sharing the track “Pandæmonium” off the forthcoming release Emanation Body, descending upon us on May 29th via Translation Loss Records – pre-order it right here. Ethan says that this track is what the erosion of your mind sounds like, and it does sound like madness made tangible; as I stay in the strange world that Many Blessings has created, the pressure in my skull is building to a breaking point. If you think you can make it through without corporeal loss, then hit play on our exclusive stream of “Pandæmonium” below.
I used a roli synth, a Dunable guitar, lots of Earthquaker devices pedals (Disaster Transport, Avalanche Run, Datacorrupter & a Transmisser) pretty much exclusively aside from a couple of boss and Electroharmonix stuff. (3 digital loopers and a freeze).
I took samples of the chimps fighting while I was at the San Diego zoo as well as some samples from old nature documentaries and incorporated those samples into the music. My favorite part was when two boy monkeys started fucking in front of a family and my christian conservative sister and I just laughed and hit the weed pen.
“Pandæmonium” is supposed to sound like what it sounds like when your brain erodes.
Many Blessings is lo-fi hip hop beats for people with real fucking problems. So everyone – right now. This differs from my other projects because it’s more of a slow burn. It focuses less on aggression and more on vibe and movement.
