It’s rare that I sit down and listen to music composed with the more classical instruments. I’m drawn to loud beats and electronics most of the time, so I’ve forgotten the way that some instrumentation can sweep me out of my reality with a subtle impact and stunning simplicity. Right now I’m floating on the captivating melodies of The Eye Of Time, the solo cello and piano project from musician Marc Euvrie. His new record Acoustic II came out via Denovali Records on March 26th – get it here. It’s like walking into a world made of memory. I’m simultaneously weeping and laughing, digging my toes into the earth and flying, completely aware and utterly enthralled. It’s exactly what I need to hear today. To be reminded that as much ugly as human beings collectively create, we’re also capable of pure beauty and majesty at an individual level. Today we’re excited to share the full record with you. Right now, enter the magical world of The Eye of Time with me…
Since I’ve always been self-educated with the piano, it was a huge challenge for me to reach the goal that I was expecting. It gave me the experience and the energy to continue as well as my fans were really helpful by giving me amazing endless support, to help me understand that I have to keep going on when I had hard times of doubt on this and sometimes wanted to really let it go. The struggle to keep it to the goal was a very big deal because of the doubts and the financial issues, but I’m glad and proud that I made it.
