My whole life, I’ve been surprised by people who think that our system works well. People who think our system is functioning “tremendously” and that we have “the best government” or “the best opportunities,” because they’ve been spoon-fed by people who might as well be the lovechildren of Edward Bernays and Ayn Rand. For example – our banking systems, who’ve been making billions in profit since the days they invested in chattel slavery, and rule over us with the mantra, “steal from the poor, give to the rich.” Somehow, we condone – nay, embrace – a system that will happily foreclose on folks who the banks purposely tricked into taking loans they couldn’t afford, meanwhile handing millions and millions over to rich men who repeatedly go bankrupt and squander lesser people’s life savings. Remember when THAT was a thing? Let me be clear: your debt is NOT your fault – it’s an investment for the bank that loaned it to you. It’s a necessary cog in our “well-functioning” system because, without it, you wouldn’t be such easy prey for the wolves in suits.

But don’t just let me lecture you about the debt that we’ve all tied ourselves to in moments of weakness or optimism, let KAI CULT‘s addictive and groovy noise punk school you on how rad it is on their new single “MASSIVE CHECKS”!
