As a 90s teenager I’m really digging the indie rock revival that bands like Bellingham’s CAREEN are bringing. This isn’t the watered-down, commercialized entity Indie rock became in the 2010s, but the gritty post-hardcore that I could listen to when I was happy and wanted to feel sad, or when I was sad and wanted to feel happy. Today we’re stoked to be sharing their new single “The Slice.” It’s off their upcoming record Cycle 3 that’s out February 23rd via Death Metal, Florida — pre-order it here. “The Slice” is as angular and heavy as it is bright and catchy!
