On Feb 19th & 20th, hordes of metalheads desended on Portland for this year’s Famine Fest! The line up was stacked with brutal band after brutal band. Canada was in the house for sure, with Garotting Deep, Iskra, Auroch and Mitochondrion wrecking shop and making heads roll! From what I heard, Famine Fest was top notch and had a good vibe (so next year make sure you are there!). The Portland-based photographer Vile Metal Vids was cool enough to allow us to share his rad photos with our readers! I planned to make the trip down for the fest, but something came up last minute…but nothing will stop me next year…All Hail the Famine Fest for creating an event for metalheads by metalheads!
