What is haunting you at night? Hear the Hardcore Powerviolence of ENDORPHINS LOST “Fear Him”

When you live somewhere as picturesque as the Pacific Northwest, it’s easy to pull on the blindfold. It’s all mountains and shiny tech companies and Starbucks and Arc’teryx and condos until you see the people who are assigned unworthy at birth. The truth is, our system needs to treat some like scum so the rest of us buy into the lie that we’re exceptional. On “Fear Him,” ENDORPHINS LOST tells a scathing story of the people who take advantage of our stratified society to collect on trauma. With jagged punk riffs and head-stomping percussion, this Seattle band wants us to see that we’ve created a predator’s playground, somewhere where people can go missing and those who care are silenced and ignored. And most of us are passive predators, happy to let our worst thin the herd while the rest get fat. “Fear Him” is off their album Night People which came out last month via Rotten To The Core and To Live A Lie Records — get it here. Right now, let this short, razor-sharp track assault your senses!

We chose Fear Him for the video because we felt it was a great representation of the intensity and stripped-down songwriting we engaged on Night People.

He’s a real mean fucker with a colt .45
He’d kill you if he could get away with it
Set in his ways, a dirty old man
Cruising for trim in his big black car
He smokes speed with the kids
And tells stories of his glory years
A real mean fucker with a lock on a chain
A proud white man we’re wise to fear
A real mean fucker dying in pain
A dead white man who fucking cares?
