Sometimes all my brain needs is some noisy psych to push me into an audio wormhole and transport me into a trippier dimension. Something like The Doors lost in the desert with only peyote to eat stumbling on a set of instruments and playing to the gods to send rain. That’s where my mind goes while listening to FLOATING HEADS’s new single “Raindance.” Except this band isn’t from the desert, they’re from Aberdeen, Scotland, where it rains in the summertime. All the more reason to dream and dance to their heavy, fuzzy wall of sound that pours down on your ears from the sonic heavens. “Raindance” is off their new Crawl EP that came out at the beginning of the month — you can order it here.
