The more the denizens of the internet want to pull me into their orbit with wild opinions and unbelievably self-centered worldviews, the more I want to escape into my own inner world. One of the easiest vehicles for my mind to travel inwards on is music, especially music that doesn’t aim to soothe and instead aims to dig deep into my gut and eviscerate me. Today that’s the new single from PRUILLIP entitled “BOTERHAM” — a strange and noisy drone sludge tune that effectively wipes all thought from my brain while I’m listening to it. It’s off their debut record, Pruillip, that’s out via cortizona records on Nov. 10th — pre-order it here. The compelling repetition of guttural chaos on this track reminds me that I don’t need to think like anyone else, I don’t need anyone to co-sign my worldview, I can live by my own inner compass and ignore the narcissistic self-diagnosed madness particles flying through the ether. Today we’re excited to be sharing their new video for “BOTERHAM” with you, as well as two upcoming live dates where you can catch them if you’re in Europe. Check out “BOTERHAM” here:
