Experience the Mind-Freeing Art-Rock of SPLLIT “Heavy Headed Time”

Once I start to see things becoming normal around me, it’s time to make it weird again. It’s one of the reasons I’m glad to have CVLT Nation because Sean and I agreed from the start we were going to keep it underground, confrontational, and outside of the acceptable norms of society. Could we make more money if we published stories about Vince Neill getting fat and then skinny again? Sure. Would it fulfill my fascination with new, creative, provocative art? Hell no.

So we’ve chosen our path, and Spllit’s experimental art-rock is exactly the kind of weird creature we want to encounter as we walk it! Today we’re stoked to share their new video for the single “Heavy Headed Time” off their upcoming album Spllit Sides, out July 30 via Feel it Records – order it here and here. Everything about this music brings me joy, from the visuals the band created to the jangly and pleasantly jarring punk sound! Even their press photos make me love them. Plus, this song feels like it’s trying to free my brain from the fog of normality. And they’re putting out the vinyl in an amazing Amite River Water colorway, so check that out below and watch this awesome video while you do!
