Exclusive CVLT Nation Streaming Absolutist “Lux”

Absolutist are a Scotland-based band who play very much a thought-provoking type of dark hardcore. We’re streaming a new song entitled “Lux” from their upcoming 7″ EP. I asked the band to tell CVLT a bit about the new release before they go to Greece for 6 days of touring.

We are no longer all based in the same city, so we wanted to write some shorter and more intense songs to reflect this. As usual, we have taken on a few different labels from around the world, partly because they’re our friends, and also it’s nice to know the record will travel to different parts of the world that we maybe couldn’t get it to ourselves. But most of all, it’s just great friends helping out! The artwork was done by Denise (from Dogs and Vultures label, based in Dublin) and in her own words, ”it’s like the death of humans/civilisation and the re-wilding that happens when humans get the fuck out of the way and quit destroying everything!!!”

The EP is set to come out in July//August on Distro-y Records, Broken Limbs Records (USA), Bomb This Shit Productions (Germany), Holy Goat Records (Germany), Mind Control Records (Germany) Never Fall Into Silence (UK), Pumpkin Records (UK) Svoboda Records (France)
