One band that continues to intrigue and captivate me is VIDRIO ECHO. Only a few of their debut tracks have seen the light of day this year, although they are experienced musicians, and each one that I’ve heard has been an immersive sonic experience. On their newest single, “Darkness,” Mel’s haunting vocals make me think of gothic Mazzy Star meets The Cult in their Western era. Those references are just a jumping-off point for a sound that is truly unique and their own. The gorgeous visuals in this video are once again created by Jorge Santacruz, and the whole package of sound and sight is exceptional.
