Every time I throw on some beat-laden darkwave I think about all the nights that came before March 2020. Even though I’ve always been someone who celebrates music with movement, I know I didn’t appreciate the opportunity to lose myself in the flashing darkness and tangible vibration of music. All I can think about these days is how amazing it will be to enter a room full of friends and sounds and not give a fuck about the fake ways we’ve distanced ourselves from each other in the light of actual social distancing.
