ASK A MORTICIAN is the channel of Los Angeles mortician Caitlin Doughty, also the founder of The Order of the Good Death, an organization that describes itself as “a group of funeral industry professionals, academics, and artists exploring ways to prepare a death phobic culture for their inevitable mortality.” Doughty makes videos that address all things about death, answering questions and interviewing fellow death experts, and not only are her videos very informative, they’re also very entertaining. My favorites are her “Ask A Mortician” series, where she takes questions from her viewers about topics like necrophelia, coffin birth, human taxidermy and a lot more weird and usually avoided topics.
