Crush Your Soul With the Crashing Post-Rock of GUHTS “Til Death”

None of us asked to be born, and yet here we are, striving to survive. If we’re lucky, we’ll find other humans who agree to accompany us on our journey so that we feel a little less alone and disconnected. These thoughts sound depressing and morbid, but they comfort me as I listen to the new single from NYC-based post-metal band GUHTS. They’re serenading my lonely side with “Til Death,” and I’m comforted by the understanding that needing even just one person to see us and understand is innate to humanity. GUHTS know how to pierce to the soul with their dramatic, darkened tones and crashing, crushing soundwaves, and “Til Death” is inviting me to remember to have empathy for myself when I need someone to just walk with me. It’s off the new record they’ve just announced, Regeneration, that will be out January 2024. Get it on vinyl via New Heavy Sounds, CD via Seeing Red Records, or pre-order it on their Bandcamp and pre-save it here. Right now, watch GUHTS’ new video for their single “Til Death” here:
