Back from the grave… Celldeth

Celldeth walks the line between violence and elegance with his illustration. There is something of the esoteric in his delicate lines, but his pieces never stray too far from a blatant darkness. But death isn’t always terrifying in Celldeth’s work; he captures the danse macabre as exactly that – a movement from one plane of existence to another, a welcoming into the earthy blackness of our imminent decay. Celldeth is also a member of the HC band Nailbiter, so his ties to the underground run doubly deep. That’s probably why his illustrations have graced the covers, tour posters and merch some of our favorite underground names, like Full of Hell, Cloud Rat, Torch Runner and more. Plus he hand screen prints tees and makes the most devastatingly beautiful woven patches featuring his artwork. You can pick up prints and patches from Celldeth here and follow him on Instagram here. Meghan MacRae grew up in Vancouver, Canada, but spent many years living in the remote woods. Living in the shadow of grizzly bears, cougars and the other predators of the wilderness taught her about the dark side of nature, and taught her to accept her place in nature's order as their prey. She is co-founder of CVLT Nation.
