CASTLE RAT is taking the classic doom rock world by storm with their debut LP Into the Realm, out now on King Volume Records. And I’m no exception. There’s something about their 70s film soundtrack vibe, their sultry, heavy melodies, and their fantasy kingdom visuals that has me totally captivated. Today we wanted to shine a light on Castle Rat’s video for “Cry For Me” off Into The Realm — this song is sending shivers down my spine and has my head banging involuntarily. The Rat Queen’s sirenlike voice is winding its way through my synapses, while she and the The Count, The Plague Doctor, and The Druid build a sonic atmosphere that hasn’t been matched by another doom rock band in a while.
