New Vets CARRION EMPIRE Drop an Apocalyptic Payload with ‘To Feel Anything At All’

We here at Cvlt are insanely excited about the new incarnation from old hitters CARRION EMPIRE, a new project born from the ashes of MURDERBAIT. Although names are intentionally being omitted from this band, they’re decidedly heavier and focused. Synth heavy, with influences like John Carpenter, Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jar are evident, backed by desolate doom guitar and bass, as well as baritone vocals. The whole package is cinematic as fuck while still retaining a deep weight that rumbles the speakers and soul. We can’t help but be transported by the earnestness of the emotions delivered in this ravaging vocal delivery.

The lyrical themes push deep into the darkness of our current societal blight into a bleak hope of nature reclaiming her throne, with or without humanity. They recorded two songs with Adam Pike at Toadhouse Recording, mastered by Adam Gonsalves. Included in this debut is the final MURDERBAIT track that’s a Mötörhead cover and features Matt Pike whom we all know and love from his bands High on Fire and Sleep. This introduction to the outfit’s new direction is anything but negligible and we can’t wait to hear more sonic madness and sadness from these virtuosos.
