If I had to choose my top three illustrators in the world, PUSHEAD would be one of them. During the ’80s, when he drew flyers for gigs you knew the show was going to be all that just because of his pen skills. I remember his twisted images all over me and my homies’ walls. When I found out that PUSHEAD was in Septic Death, I knew that I was going to dig their music. He is an illustrator that has influenced so many artists that his style will live on for many generations to come. To this very day, I could spend hours looking at all of the record covers, skateboards, and flyers that he created. Today, CVLT Nation wants to celebrate PUSHEAD with a huge visual essay of some of our favorite pieces.
Check out this rad SEPTIC DEATH full set that took place at the Farm in 1986. We all know that the world-famous Pushead was the vocalist of this seminal band and he did a stellar job! On the real, when Septic Death came out, we didn’t know that we were listening to a historic band. This band has a special place in my heart because from day one I was a fan. Below you can see the flyer from their first Hollywood show that took place at one of my favorite venues Cathey De Grande. I remember this show from 37 years ago and all of the bands were on point!
