I just saw this amazing old documentary of Swedish hardcore punks, Anti-Cimex, circa 1985. Well, maybe, Discharge was more of a blueprint for this, considered to be the masters of D-beat, but Anti-Cimex surely got their own variation with a new wave of noisy and high-speed sound. Their classic Raped Ass and Victims of a Bomb Raid EPs became landmarks that laid the foundation for the modern Scandinavian sound. Definitely one of the most influential hardcore punk bands to come out of Sweden.
