Hi, what are you looking for?

Post-Punk

Get Hyped on the Luminescent Post Punk of HIGH VIS ‘Guided Tour’!

HIGH VIS is one of those bands that can take something sad and make you feel happy to contemplate it. It’s like they create a space to think about what’s hurt you and remind yourself that you’re still here. I’ve had the honor of seeing them live twice in the past couple of years, and they have a special (reflective) sonic light that beams out to the audience and makes everyone in the room feel seen (and really fucking hyped). Their new record Guided Tour feels like next level High Vis. Right off the bat I’m moved emotionally and physically I want to jump around! They bring together the anti-system spirit of hardcore punk and the driving melodies of post punk and create something uplifting and urgent with every song.

“Mind’s a Lie” is a sneak peek into some of the other genres that have influenced High Vis, including house and UK garage, and it’s an anthem! But to be honest, every track on Guided Tour is an anthem, and I’m gonna have to put my time in to memorize all of these songs so I can join the boys in a sing-along the next time they’re in Vancouver!

High Vis is on their North American tour, so check the Nov/Dec dates below! Guided Tour is out now on Dais Records. Stream it here and Get it on vinyl here.
