NINA LUCA is a photographer based in Switzerland who captures fantastical images of cosplay, and uses her digital art skills to take them even further into the world of imagination. Her subjects are mythical creatures, otherworldly characters, strange and weird, grotesque and beautiful. She lights them in a way that’s both stark and ethereal, so there’s a surreal quality to her images while they also have a sharp realness to them. Her photos make me think of editorial fashion shoots from another time and place. See a few of my favorites below.
