I can’t remember a time in my life when I was not fascinated or inspired by Japanese culture, especially youth culture. I have also been a big-time fan of Japanese Punk since the 80’s. Even during the 90’s I looked to Japan for inspiration and was in tune with the underground scene that was happening during that time! Once I started traveling there I realized why I was so into the culture because it’s fucking RAD! I could walk the streets of Tokyo for days. One of my favorite things to do for decades has been to read Japanese Magazines that focus on Street Fashion and Youth Culture. Maybe this is why I need to share with y’all these killer scans of Japanese Tattoo culture from the 90s that I found on Cold Archive. Call me a nerd, but I could spend hours looking at photos like these.
