Step Into the Futuristic Medieval Cyborg World of FANGOPHILIA

In 2012, jewelry designer Taro Hanabusa launched his brand FANGOPHILIA, and he has spent the last twelve years creating stunning and original pieces. His namesake comes from the fact that when he first started as a jeweller, most of his orders were for fangs. Combining his fascination with body modification with his love of precious metals, Hanabusa creates pieces that change the wearer into a kind of futuristic medieval cyborg. Masks, ear pieces, hand and finger armour, and fang grills that transform human beings into fantastical creatures. He’s the first person to have Japan’s Suica card chip implanted in his hand, so the transhumanism movement is clearly also an interest of his.
