I wasn’t old enough or British enough to be at any of these late 80s/early 90s raves, but watching this archival footage from Kinolibrary is taking me back anyway! I was a part of the next generation of ravers, from the “Candy Raver” era of the mid to late 90s, orange fun fur skirt and mini Tigger stuffy backpack and all. A lot of the parties I went to were still illegal, but the rave scene had been going on long enough that conformity had set in, and there was a dancer hierarchy. These old videos just show the massive group of different people who just wanted to drive and walk way out into the countryside to get high and dance their asses off. Enjoy…
