This EP from Dottie Lovelace feels like walking inside a warped mirror, seeing my reflection refract around me so that every angle of my life experience is playing out simultaneously. With into the dark. she’s made a record that’s both dissonant and dulcet, and could be the poster child for dreamgaze. Her airy vocals guide you through thick, melancholic fuzz and downtuned melodies like an angel dragging you through a mire. The result is a weird, wonderful, contradictory experience that has me captivated. She’s got a very small run of limited cassettes up for grabs, and you can get those here and stream into the dark. on Spotify here.
