I miss the excitement and chaos of the pre-COVID city – being surrounded by unmasked people, no one anxious, just enjoying each others’ energy (or maybe resenting it). When I hit play on the new EP from City Rose, it gives me a fix of the gritty noise, happiness and melancholy of city life.
