It’s relentlessly sunny here in North America’s rainiest city, but when I throw on the debut album from Krv (“blood” in Serbian), a delicious bleakness descends on my world. Like their namesake, this music pulsates with energy that threatens to burst through my speakers and let all life flow into rivers of death! It’s brutal and as sharp as the executioner’s axe, but it also has an addictive groove that underpins the wrathful riffing.
