Portraits from the Best Era of Punk! xpunk70sx

Punk in the 70s was all about being a total freak and outcast from society. In the baby days of punk, the bands were weird and melodic, the fashion was dark and gothic, and the kids hadn’t created the heavily male-dominated world of hardcore yet, so women reigned supreme. I love looking at photos from this era of punk – it’s so inspiring to see people creating their own culture untainted by the masses. Pretty sure none of them realized that the Queen of England would be celebrating punk’s existence 40 years later. xpunk70sx brings me pics of 70s punk on a daily basis, and it makes me look at the subcultures around me in a different light. Any one of the DIY venues we go to shows at could be legendary one day, or they could disappear into the void of history. Check out some of these rad pics below, and be thankful for the weird shit you’re into!

Living in the shadow of grizzly bears, cougars and the other predators of the wilderness taught her about the dark side of nature, and taught her to accept her place in nature's order as their prey.
