I imagine most of us reading this suffer from some pretty mundane First World Problems. Sometimes it helps to put things in perspective when you find things like the following images of the Manila North Cemetery in Manila, Philippines. A community of approximately 600 families call this gigantic, 54 hectare cemetery their home, living among stacked tombs and doing karaoke or sending their kids to school in mausoleums. This is the absolute lowest accommodation for humanity, living somewhere that we house only our dead. And yet, the people living in the Manila North Cemetery thrive and make the best of their condition. That being said, the fact that we allow people to give birth among tombs while others live in palatial orgies of money (and do so on TV for the whole world to see) is beyond sickening. Are we really that heartless and gutless?
