Clouds of doom over Eastern Germany… Doom over Leipzig IV is near!
Hey you – jaaa, you! Why so gloomy? Everybody going to Roadburn but you? Well, did you know Doom over Leipzig IV, which will once again be taking place at the awe-inspiring UT Connewitz this week from the 10th-12th, features (okay, almost) all the most amazing bands also playing at Roadburn this year – 40 Watt Sun, Circle, Inter Arma, Conan, Old Man Gloom, Windhand and The Body? Fuck yeah it does. If that isn’t already insanely awesome enough for you, Esoteric and the mighty beast that is Kongh will be performing, too, and there’ll be a special “afterburner show” by Noothgrush at the nearby Zoro on Thursday!
The punishing proceedings will be surrounded by Yves Lennertz’ (of DOL alumni ◯ – not to be confused with Finland’s Circle, who will also be playing) multimedia project Maan, which allegedly is an “homage to the moon,” “combines old print techniques with modern media and toys with genres from music to graphics to video art.” So unless you’re off to Tilburg next week and are lucky enough to live in or around Germany, I suggest you turn that frown upside down and get your tickets here.
