WTF do we have here? What we have here is one of the sickest new Hardcore bands doing it right fucking now! They go by the name of XGAARGOYLEX and their new tape was OG self-released last year, but is now coming out on the forever strong Delayed Gratification Recs. Every song on CITY IS MINE takes life as I listen to it! I know as I blast this tape that I’m listening to one of the most important young bands releasing music for all of us to lose our shit to. I remember the first time I heard GULCH, I knew they were destined to change the Hardcore community. I feel the same way as I blast XGAARGOYLEX. I dare you to turn up the volume up to 10 and press play on their song “EVIL EYE / DIE TWICE”! I know for fact you will become a fan instantly.

This band wants us to wake the fuck up and not follow the lies that the masses want to push down our throats. I’m impressed by how big their riffs are and how menacing their drums are, and I can’t help but move to their sinister groove! Yeah, I’m saying right here and now that XGAARGOYLEX breakdowns and beatdowns are next fucking level. There is something sonically dangerous about the way these songs were mixed that causes them to be highly addictive. If anyone from XGAARGOYLEX reads this, I want them to know we are fans over here at CVLT Nation. I also want them and the world to know that CITY IS MINE will end up on our Hardcore EOTYL for 2025 — FACTS! There is not one weak moment on this tape, it’s the jam from beginning to MF END!
