Before the world shut down, the in-person Sisterhood & Brotherhood that is the Hardcore Scene was something that was important to our whole family. I can’t even put into words how important the Southern California fest Sound and Fury was to the scene. This is why we wanted to salute the fest with this feature. To some people, a Hardcore show is pure chaos but to those that know it’s a place filled with brutal love on so many levels. Our 7-year-old daughter said the other day, “I need to go to a Punk show,” and she also said that when she goes to her next Hardcore show she is rocking her boxing gloves in the pit. I miss the sense of community that takes place at a hardcore show or fest. I promise not to take anything for granted once shows start up again! Yo, Sound and Fury – thanks for all that you do for the Hardcore scene around the world!
