Two things that I love are art and leather jackets, so this is why I love Metal Jacket Paintings so much! This German artist can take a blank jacket and turn it into a work of art to be coveted by most Punks/Metal heads. A couple of years ago we featured his work, but since then he has painted many more jackets – so it’s now your time to check them out!
I have painted a couple of jackets, and it’s a time consuming but fulfilling process – but I understand that many people can’t or wouldn’t know where to start with such a task. But there are artists out there who specialize in turning your leather jacket into something awe-inspiring. Enter Metal Jacket Paintings. This German artist creates hand-painted leather jackets that I can only describe as perfect. MJP is able to take some of metal’s most iconic imagery and hand paint it with markers onto jackets in a way that’s truly jaw-dropping. I can imagine that in person these jackets radiate the time and attention that was taken to imbue them with the spirit of the bands they portray.
